Corresponding Members

The RAED shall award corresponding membership to holders of doctorates from anywhere in the world, in order to create a flexible association with their work on the basis of its scientific, technical or artistic merit.

Corresponding academicians shall be entitled to be addressed as “Excellency” and also to wear the RAED’s medal. They shall likewise prepare and read out, at a formal event held for the purpose, an acceptance speech, to be followed by the corresponding response. Corresponding members undertake to contribute to the Academy’s aims, maintain a normal relationship with the institution and fulfil any tasks or commissions that it might assign to them.
