DR. FRANCISCO J. FONSECA MORILLO

Nascut el 7 d’agost de 1955 a Valladolid, casat i amb un fill.

Llicenciat en Dret per la Universitat de Valladolid (1977). Llicenciat en Ciències Polítiques per la Universitat Complutense (1979). Doctor en Dret per la Universitat de Valladolid (1984). Professor titular de Dret Internacional Públic i Relacions Internacionals a la Universitat de Valladolid (1986). Investigador associat a l’Institut d’Études Européennes de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (1989). Professor associat de Dret Europeu al CEU San Pablo (2011). President del Moviment Europeu a Castella i Lleó (2021). Director de l’Institut d’Estudis Europeus de la Universitat de Valladolid (2022). Des del 1986 fins al 2021 funcionari a les institucions europees:

1986-87: Administrador a la DG de Pressupostos.
1987-89: Administrador Principal a la DG d’Assumptes Econòmics i Financers.
1989-94: Assistent i Conseller a la Cèl·lula de Prospectiva del President Jacques Delors.
1995-99: Conseller a l’equip de la Comissió que va preparar el Tractat d’Amsterdam adscrit al Comissari Marcelino Oreja Aguirre.
1999-04: Cap de Gabinet Adjunt i Cap de Gabinet del Comissari António Vitorino responsable d’Assumptes de Justícia i Interior.
2004-09: Director responsable de Justícia i Drets Fonamentals a la DG Justícia, Llibertat i Seguretat.
2009-15: Director de la Representació de la Comissió Europea a Espanya.
2015-16: Director General de Justícia i Consumidors (en funcions).
2016-18: Director General Adjunt a la Direcció General de Justícia i Consumidors.
2018-21: Director de la Representació de la Comissió Europea a Espanya.
