The YouTube channel of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) already has the video summary of the act of admission as corresponding academician of Rodolfo Fernández Cuellas, doctor of Law, which was held in Barcelona on 15 March. The recipient read the admission speech “La dinámica mayoría-minoría en las sociedades de capital” (The majority-minority dynamic in capital companies). Full academician Emili Gironella answered on behalf of the RAED.
In his work, the new academic analysed the challenges that mercantile societies have for the tensions between majorities and minority of capital, a common pulse and in many cases necessary for the development of these societies. Fernández Cuellas believes that the legislation must be renewed to avoid unnecessary grievances that end up putting the stability of the participating mercantile companies at risk.
Doctor in Law and professor of Commercial Law at the ESADE Business School, the new member of the RAED is a recognized specialist in Corporate Commercial Law, Technological Law and Arbitration. Since 2008, he has been especially dedicated to academic and research activities and has participated in legislative projects for governments, legal institutions and Spanish and international companies.
