The candidacy of academician Alfredo Rocafort has been selected by the General Board of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) to form the new Governing Board. With no other candidate in contention, the team of the current president has been reelected with no votes against and only one abstention and assume his duties during the period 2016-2021.

Rocafort will as vicepresidents Xabier Añoveros, Pedro Clarós and Ana Maria Gil. José Luis Salido assumes the General Secretariat and the Deputy Secretary Pedro Aznar. David Jou will serve as editor and Jordi Martí the treasurer. They will be attached to the Presidency Albert Biete, Rosmarie Cammany, Alfonso Cebrián, Miguel Ángel Gallo, Joaquim Gironella and Eugenio Oñate.

Alfonso Hernández-Moreno will be the legal counsel and Josep Llort will preside the Senate of the RAED, a new advisory body. The sections will be chaired by Joan Francesc Pont (Social Sciences), Maria Àngels Calvo (Health Sciences), Ignasi Saranyana (Human Sciences), Albert Bosch (Experimental Sciences) and Jaime Rodrigo de Larrucea (Technological Sciences).
