Maria Àngels Calvo, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) and president of the Health Sciences Section, presented the values of animal therapies during the closing ceremony of the 2016-2017 academic year of the university extension classrooms for seniors of the University of Barcelona. Doctor in Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine and professor of Animal Health at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Calvo reviewed the contributions of these therapies in various pathologies and behavioral disorders, as well as elderly and hospitalized patients.
