Josep Pla i Carrera, professor emeritus of the University of Barcelona (UB) and supernumerary academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) will present next wednesday, March 22, a new issue of his work “Història de la matemàtica: resultats, textos i contextos” (History of mathematics: results, texts and contexts), where he synthesizes an entire life dedicated to the investigation of the history and historiography of mathematics and its teaching. This volume will be the first dedicated to Greece. The event will be held at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the UB and will also have the participation of the mathematical historian Carlos Dorce.
