José Ramón Calvo, elected full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), has donated to the Academy Library his work “El tabaquismo” (The disease of smoking), edited by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The work is the result of the studies of Calvo himself and also the specialist in the subject Anselmo López Cabañas and constitutes a reference in the fight against tobacco from a scientific point of view.
