Xabier Añoveros, vice-president of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), was admitted as academician of the Xacobea Academy during a solemn ceremony held on June 1 at the University of Santiago de Compostela and headed by the president of Galician Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
Añoveros read the entry speech “El Camino de Santiago Portugués”, in which he related the centennial history of a route of pilgrimage of great scenic and monumental beauty that enters Galician from Portugal by the village of Tuy. The president of Galicia emphasized the recipients’ teaching experience as well as his dedication to the study of certain issues related to the city of Tuy, such as his cathedral and his patro, saint Telmo.
