The Royal Academy hosts the first Academic Workshop of the International Master Smart City Manager
Santiago Castellà, director of the Tarragona Smart Mediterranean City Chair of Rovira i Virgili University, general secretary of the Foundation Pro Royal European Academy of Doctors and full academician and member of the Governing Board of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), presented on January 23 at the headquarters of the Academy the first Academic Workshop of the Smart City Manager International Master, organized by the Zigurat Global Institute of Technology.
During the day the master’s degree and the association between Zigurat and Knowurbannet were presented. Knowurbannet is a knowledge generation network to face the changes that are about to come in the short and medium term. A presentation was developed on the academic structure, the contents of the master’s degree and the roles of the faculty and the direction of the master’s degree, to then analyse the management of the learning process by the academic team: methods for virtual teaching and the presentation of the platform Canvas, which offers resources and technological solutions for state-of-the-art education.
The event served as a meeting point between the professionals of Zigurat and the teachers, all of them from different sectors and with multidisciplinary profiles, and today the greatest experts in innovation of the Smart Cities. The master’s degree, in fact, is designed under a multidisciplinary framework of the Smart City concept, which means that it’s open to university graduates with a great interest in carrying out research projects focused on innovation and technology for the challenges of these new ones cities.
