The Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) re-stages the concert that pianist Cristina Casale had to suspend at the end of October and invites all academicians and friends of the institution to attend an event taking place on the 18 December, at 8.00 pm, at the Petit Palau of the Palau de la Música Catalana. For this it will be necessary to request an invitation. Casale will premiere in Barcelona the concert “Virtuosismo Flamenco”, by composer Abraham Espinosa, as well as interpreting various works by Frederic Mompou, Enrique Granados, Manuel de Falla and father Soler. The session is part of the “Conciertos con Alma” (Concerts with Soul) series that the Royal Academy launched last year.
Awarded with the international prize for Piano Creativity, Casale stands out for her temperament and expressiveness in the interpretation. Her concert career has led her to perform in different cities in Europe, the United States and South America. She debuted at the Palau de la Música Catalana with Frédéric Chopin‘s “Concerto for piano and orchestra number 1” and after a few years of little public activity reappeared three seasons ago at the Carnegie Hall in New York with a similar programme with which she now returns to Barcelona.
