The 15th issue of Tribuna Plural, the scientific journal of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), offers all the activities carried out by the institution during the second quarter of 2017. The publication contains a comprehensive summary papers of the debates “Lutero 500 años después (1917-2017)” (Luther 500 years later (1917-2017) and “Mejora de la viabilidad de las empresas familiares” (Improvement of the viability of family enterprises), held during this period, in addition to giving full account of two especially outstanding activities that have marked a turning point in the academic activity: the First Scientific Meeting of the RAED, held in Fuerteventura with the collaboration of the IESE Business School and the University of Las Palmas and the Third International Act of the RAED: the European Congress of Interdisciplinary Research, held on board a cruise ship and in various Baltic capitals.
As always, Tribuna Plural also collects the admissions of academicians occurred in recent months: Daniel Turbón, José Ramón Calvo, Montserrat Casanovas, Lluís Serra and Javier Aranceta, with corresponding admission speeches and answers. Likewise, it publishes the unpublished articles “Los huevos tóxicos o la eficacia de una RASFF” (The toxic eggs or the effectiveness of a RASFF), by the full academician Pere Costa Batllori; “Control de micotoxinas en alimentación y salud pública” (Control of Mycotoxins in food and public health), by the full academician and president of the Section of Health Sciences Maria Àngels Calvo and the Ecuadorian researcher Byron Enrique Borja Caicedo; “El principio de subsidiaridad y los nacionalismos” (The principle of subsidiarity and nationalism), by Félix de la Fuente Pascual, and “Costa Brava 2020, Reserva de la Biosfera” (Costa Brava 2020, Biosphere Reserve), by Miquel Ventura.
The issue is closed with an extensive personal interview with the full academician and vice-president of the RAED Pedro Clarós.
