Invited lecturer in numerous national and international forums, to give seminars or talks, in which he mainly deals with smoking in its various aspects, education for health and its techniques or techniques of oral and audiovisual communication. Of this number of conferences should be noted for its importance the lectures given as the closing of the International Course on smoking at the Mayo Clinic Rochester in Minnesota, the opening conference of the 1st Summit of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico associated with tobacco control, the one given at the Inauguration of the Mexican Congress of Pulmonologists in Quintana Roo or the one given at the Mexican Academy of Medicine invited and presented by the Minister of Health of Mexico. He has also spoken at the Royal Spanish Academy of Medicine, and in various national and international educational and research centers.
He has been one of the 23 people in the world selected by Al Gore to participate as a speaker in the Climate Reality project since 2011.
He has been a visiting professor at the Universities of Auburn, Alabama and Long Beach in the USA and a visiting researcher at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta,
He has been an adviser to the governments of Mexico and Puerto Rico in their tobacco control programs
He has been a member of the working committee of the International Union Against Cancer in the WHO Framework Convention against Tobacco from October 1999 to March 2003
He has been a director of a master’s degree and an Expert in Health Education, online and face-to-face, a master’s degree in Social Paediatrics and a post-graduate degree in smoking approaches.
He has been professor of the Subject Education for Health On Line of the Bachelor of Psychopedagogy of the ULPGC
He has been a professor of the master’s degree in smoking at the University of Seville.

Teaching and Research Recognitions:
He has received several teaching and research awards. These include the appointment during two consecutive years of the best professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the area of Health Sciences, the Dr. Matilla Research Award of the Royal Spanish Academy of Medicine, the Atlantic Islands Award, or the Research Prize of the Ibero-American Cooperation Institute.
Other merits:
He has been a reviewer of several national and international journals on Education for Health and Public Health, was editor of the magazine Science and Excellence and regularly collaborates with companies, media and institutions as a scientific disseminator.
As organizer of major events, he has been the director of the International Course on Advances in Medicine, which brought together 9 Nobel Prize winners and another 80 world-class scientists in 1993 at an event presided over by Her Majesty the Queen of Spain.
Fue el promotor y Secretario General de la 2a Conferencia Europea de Tabaquismo, que reunió a más de 3000 personas.
Fue el promotor y Director del 1a Encuentro Latinoamericano sobre tabaquismo y Director de la 1a Cumbre Hispano-Luso-Mexicana sobre prevención y tratamiento del tabaquismo. Que reunió a cerca de 200 expertos de esos 3 países.
Es desde el año 2005 el Creador y Director del Campus de Excelencia, iniciativa sumó 5 ediciones (2005-2009) y que reúnía cada año a jóvenes investigadores procedentes de todo el mundo junto a Premios Nobel, Jefes de Estado, Ministros, presidentes de organizaciones internacionales y empresarios de prestigio, habiendo logrado en 5 años de existencia reunir a
mas de 50 Premios Nobel, 6 Jefes de Estado, Ministros y Personalidades de la política Internacional y a mas de 2500 asistentes a las sesiones científicas y culturales que configuran esta iniciativa única en su género en el mundo.
Desde el 2011 es el Director General de la Fundación Excelencia, una organización que cuenta con 24 Premios Nobel en su patronato entre otras personalidades y que es la organizadora del proyecto del Foro Global de líderes en Economia, Ciencia y Tecnología “The Ship of Excellence” a celebrar en 2017.
Ha sido el creador y director del Foro de Excelencia para directivos y empresarios celebrado en Lloret de Mar los días 29 y 30 de mayo de 2015, donde reunió a un destacado grupo de científicos, empresarios, astronauta, etc.
He was the promoter and Secretary General of the 2nd European Conference on Tobacco, which brought together more than 3000 people.
He was the promoter and Director of the 1st Latin American Meeting on Smoking and Director of the 1st Hispanic-Luso-Mexican Summit on prevention and treatment of smoking. That brought together about 200 experts from those 3 countries.
Since 2005, he has been the Creator and Director of the Campus of Excellence, an initiative that added 5 editions (2005-2009) and that brought together young researchers from around the world each year along with Nobel Laureates, Heads of State, Ministers, Presidents of organizations international and prestigious entrepreneurs, having achieved in 5 years of existence to bring together
More than 50 Nobel Laureates, 6 Heads of State, Ministers and Personalities of International Politics and more than 2,500 attendees to the scientific and cultural sessions that make up this initiative unique in its kind in the world.
Since 2011 he is the General Director of the Excellence Foundation, an organization that has 24 Nobel Prize winners in its board among other personalities and who is the organizer of the project of the Global Forum of Leaders in Economics, Science and Technology “The Ship of Excellence” to celebrate in 2017.
He was the creator and director of the Forum of Excellence for executives and businessmen held in Lloret de Mar on May 29 and 30, 2015, where he brought together a leading group of scientists, businessmen, astronauts, etc.
