José Ramón Calvo, president of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) and professor of Health Education at the University of Las Palmas, participated on 31 May in World No Tobacco Dayas Tobacco celebrated by the City Council of Cardona (Barcelona) with the collaboration of the RAED.

Calvo read the lecture “El tabaco, de producto deseado a producto maldito” (Tobacco, from desired product to damn product), in which he reviewed the evolution of tobacco consumption in the past, when smoking was well seen, compared to the situation today, when it’s known that tobacco kills with special affectation to adolescents and young people.
