The Clarós Clinic teaches a new course that attracts numerous specialists from around the world
The Permanent University Laboratory of the Clarós Clinic, founded and directed by the vicepresident of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) Pedro Clarós, hosted the new course “Multidisciplinary Anatomical Orbital Workshop” on October 7 and 8, in which the participants were able to work and practice, under the orders and control of expert instructors in orbit surgery, with anatomical pieces that have been conveniently prepared with silicone injection into the blood vessels, to make them even more similar to surgery in alive. It’s the first course in its modality and has a lot of interest for resident doctors and specialists in the areas of Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Facial Max, Neurosurgery and Facial Plastic Surgery.
During the two days that the course lasted, the participants were able to perform anatomical-surgical training in a teaching environment with all the available facilities so that learning the different surgical techniques would be pleasant and simple. Specialists from Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Japan, Greece and Italy participated in this first edition.
These courses are organized by Pedro Clarós himself, specialist in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery, and Marta López-Fortuny, specialist in Ophthalmology and Oculoplasty. The Clarós Clinic has had the support of the University of Barcelona and that of the Royal Academy, which guarantee and certify this and other courses. Both institutions, aware of the interest of the university stimulus and the need for academic training, have been involved in the participation and support of training plans such as this one, aimed at professionals of Medicine and Surgery.
Soon two more courses of “Temporary Bone Dissection” will be held, in which the Clarós Clinic is also an international reference, and in 2020 another six are planned given the great influx and interest that they arouse worldwide.
