Ernesto Kahan pays his private tribute to Cervantes on the occasion of the academic act that the RAED will dedicate to the work and the figure of the creator of Don Quixote
Ernesto Kahan, honorary academic of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), shares with the academicians and friends of the Royal Academy a little story inspired by the story of the ingenious gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes:“El hidalgo caballero don Manuelito de los Sueños” (The gentle knight Don Manuelito of the Dreams). A story he wrote in 2011, which has not been published and serves as an excellent preamble to the session that the RAED will dedicate to the work and figure of Cervantes on December 19.
In the session will participate the renowned Egyptian intellectual Ismail Seregeldin, director of the Library of Alexandria and expresident of the World Bank; Jordi Gracia, professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Barcelona, and the academicians experts in the figure of CervantesJoan Francesc Pont and Xabier Añoveros, as well the honorary academician Rosalía Arteaga, writer and former president of Ecuador.
