Three Nobel laureates and leading figures from research, politics and the judiciary will participate in the I Encuentro Científico (Scientific Meeting) to be held by the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) in Fuerteventura between the 8th and 11th June with the business school IESE and the University of Las Palmas.

The confirmed participants are Ada Yonath, Nobel prize in Chemistry; Sheldom Glashow, Nobel prize in Physics; Richard Roberts, Nobel prize in Medicine; Mateo Valero, general director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center; José María Baldasano, Jaime I Environment Award; Joaquín Almunia, former Spanish Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and Public Administration and Territorial Policy and European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs and Competition, and Eduardo Torres-Dulce, former Spanish State Secretary.

As part of the sessions of the scientific program, still to be specified, the meeting will have the so-called Excellence Corners, where several of the attending personalities will sit down to chat informally with other participants.
