The National Evaluation Commission of Research Activity, an agency under the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, praised the excellence of the research work of Maria Àngels Calvo during the period 2007-2015. It’s the sixth six-year term that the academician receives this certification. Calvo is full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) and president of the Section of Health Sciences.

Doctor of Pharmacy and Veterinary, Calvo has published about 300 scientific papers, she’s part of several research teams and frontline member of ten academies and reference scientific organizations. In addition, she has received 12 awards for her research work.
