Ferran Guedea, director of Radiation Oncology of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), held last July 20 the opposition competition for the chair of Radiation Oncology at the University of Barcelona (UB) in the Hall Pau Viladiu of ICO L’Hospitalet. Before the court presided over by Francesc Gudiol, professor of the Faculty of Medicine, Guedea gave a presentation of his extensive curriculum and an exposition of his research project. The members of the court gave their approval unanimously and, soon, the rector of the University of Barcelona will make the official appointment of Ferran Guedea as holder of the chair.
