Academician Francisco López Muñoz wins Award In Memóriam Profesor Orozco Acuaviva for an investigation on history of Spanish medicine

Francisco López Muñoz, full academician of the Royal Academy of Doctors (RAD) has been awarded the prize In Memóriam Profesor Orozco Acuaviva granted by the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Cadiz. The award recognizes the best research on the history of Spanish or Hispanic medicine, which has fallen this year in the investigation “The ointment of witches and love potions in the novels of Cervantes and the role of Dioscorides of Andrés Laguna“, a Lopez Muñoz research in collaboration with Francisco Pérez Fernández. The academician of the RAD was also named corresponding member of Cadiz’s academy.
