The RAED participates actively in the inauguration of the course of the Interacademic Council of Catalonia and in all its activities
The Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) will participate next Monday, January 14, at the opening of the academic year of the Interacademic Council of Catalonia, which will host the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia. The act will coincide with the opening of the academic year of the Pharmacy Academy itself and will be held from 6.30 pm. at its headquarters in Barcelona (Hospital, 56). The acts will be headed by Josep Maria Ventura, president of this institution, who will read the inaugural speech “L’Acadèmia de Farmàcia de Catalunya: ahir i avui” (The Pharmacy Academy: yesterday and today), and Jaume Casas, general secretary.
In its active collaboration and involvement in the events promoted by the Interacademic Council, the RAED organized on February 1, 2018 the round table “Nuevos alimentos, probióticos y prebióticos” (New foods, probiotics and prebiotics), which was part of the program of joint events of the integrated Catalan academies and responded to the generic theme proposed for this course: food. Likewise, Maria Àngels Calvo, full academician and vice-president of the Royal European Academy of Doctors, gave the conference “Producció de proteïna destinada a alimentació animal a partir de microorganismes” (Production of protein for animal feeding from microorganisms) at the Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Catalonia, an act also framed in this joint program of activities.
The Interacademic Council of Catalonia was created in 1991, promoted by the Catalan Government as a space for shared reflection, participation and debate to consolidate itself as a model with its own personality and vocation for service, according to its founding principles. Among its active members stand out the Royal Academy of Good Letters of Barcelona, the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy and Nutrition, the Catalan Association of Food Sciences, the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, the Catalan Institute of Agrarian Studies, the Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Catalonia, the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia, the Catalan Centre for Nutrition and the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) itself.
