- Diploma in Molecular Biology (1975) from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the University of Tromsø (Norway).
- Diploma in Business Management from the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Versailles (1997) and from the ESSEC Business School (1998).
ACADEMIC ACTIVITY
- Researcher at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Milan (1972).
- Representative of the Ordine Nazionale dei Biologi in the Commission of the Official Pharmacopoeia of the Ministero della Sanità, Rome (1979).
- Director of Pharmacological Research, Director of International Development and Vice-President in biopharmaceutical corporations in Italy, the United Kingdom, France and the United States.
- Member of the official French delegation in negotiations with the former U.S.S.R. in the field of biotechnologies (1992).
CULTURAL ACTIVITY
- Together with his wife, Françoise Celdrán-Vidal y Plana, he organised (2001–2013) numerous cultural and artistic events in museums and historical venues in France, publishing several art books in various languages.
- In 2014 he returned to Barcelona after 42 years abroad, resuming his activity “like on an ascending snail staircase,” evoking the Catalan saying: “Roda el món i torna al Born” (“Travel the world and return to Born”).
