Frederic Borràs, recognized auditor and corresponding academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), has become the first Spanish to join the Global Council of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the main international platform of entrepreneurs and specialists in corporate growth whose objective is to facilitate mergers and acquisitions. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Chicago, ACG currently groups some 15,000 members of corporations, private equity, finance and professional services firms representing large and medium-sized companies worldwide.
Former partner of KPGM, president of the advisory board of Morera Asesores & Auditores and member of the international management board of IECnet, the main worldwide network of accountants, auditors and tax advisors, Borràs had already served as the second president of the delegation that ACG has in Barcelona. Borràs took on his new position at Eurogrowth, the main event that the platform celebrates in Europe. Amsterdam has been its centre of operations this year.
To his more than four decades dedicated to the audit, Borràs adds an intense teaching activity in the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona. His admission speech at the RAED, “El reto de mejorar la calidad de la auditoría” (“The challenge of improving the quality of auditing”), has become a reference text recommended by the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration.
