Outstanding career: Optometrist and researcher in visual neurorehabilitation, pioneer in the treatment of complete homonymous hemianopsia and creator of the Palomar Prisms and the Palomar Visual Extinction Phenomenon (FEV-Pal). Recognised with multiple national and international awards, his work has transformed the understanding and treatment of post-stroke visual disorders.

  • Professor at the Department of Optometry, UPC (1995-1998).
  • Member of several national and international scientific societies; he has received various research and scientific photography awards.
  • International pioneer in the rehabilitation of complete homonymous hemianopsias, creator of the Palomar Prisms, the Palomar Visual Extinction Phenomenon (FEV-Pal), and the first online visual therapy platform with visual neurorehabilitation programs.
  • His current research line focuses on visual neurorehabilitation of patients with sectorial field losses after a stroke.
  • Director of the Centros Palomar and president of the NGO Association of Hemianopsic Patients (founded in 2017).
