Joan Francesc Corona, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) and director of the Spanish Institute of the Family Business, and Pedro Clarós, full academician and vice-president of the Board of Government of the RAED, will be in charge to inaugurate and close, respectively, the Third International Event of the RAED, to be held between 15 and 22 July in different Baltic cities.
Corona will open this scientific meeting with a conference entitled “Limits to taxation”, while Clarós will give the closing conference “La bioingeniería en el tratamiento de la sordera profunda” (Bioengineering in the treatment of profound deafness). These two works will frame a conference in which 30 presentations have been presented that will be developed throughout the event.
On the other hand, Xabier Añoveros, also vice-president of the RAED, will give in a special session a paper titled “Agustín de Bethencour, un ingeniero genial de los siglo XVII y XIX entre España y Rusia” (Agustín de Bethencour, a genius engineer of the XVII and XIX century between Spain and Russia). The work shows the importance of the aforementioned engineer as designer of the city of Saint Petersburg, on behalf of the tsar, before the arrival of the delegation of the Royal Academy to the Russian city.
