Jordi Martí, full academician and member of the Governing Board of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), was appointed last October 25 as member of the Evaluation and Certification Commission of the Spanish delegation of the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA), an entity authorized by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) to offer the accreditation of financial advisor. The event was held at the Barcelona headquarters of EFPA Spain in the presence of its president, Carlos Tusquets, and its CEO, Josep Soler, in addition to the Head of Training, Alfonso Roa.
Established in 2000, EFPA brings together over 15.000 specialists in financial and asset planning and advising throughout Europe. EFPA Spain acts as an independent platform for professional certification and as an association that brings together professionals dedicated to advice and financial planning in Spain. In October 2017, the CNMV recognized EFPA Spain as one of the five organizations with the capacity to offer financial adviser training.
The list of organizations published by the CNMV certify compliance with the requirements included in the Technical Guide that the supervisor approved in June, based on the guidelines of the European Securities and Markets Authority.
