The Royal Academy surpasses, in this Newsletter, a thousand pieces of information related to its activity and that of its members

The Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) has surpassed in this Newsletter – issue no. 117 of a digital newsletter that it began to develop and disseminate in October 2015 – one thousand items of news related to its activity and that of its members; a milestone that attests to the vitality of the institution and its determined vocation of service to society. All information has been disseminated in the three languages used by the Academy in its corporate communication: Spanish, Catalan and English.

In this period, through a proprietary database created from the attention to the legal framework and respect for the will of the subscribers, the RAED has disseminated its agenda and its own activity on a weekly basis, although it has also echoed the activity of its academicians, who have found in the Newsletter the best resource to communicate their scientific and professional news. In this sense, the Governing Board reiterates its invitation to the entire academic community to use this interesting tool and expand its dissemination.

“Academies, in these times, should be open to society and use the tools they offer us information technologies to fulfil our main purpose: to provide all our service to the community, which today responds to the concept of ‘glocal’“, said Alfredo Rocafort, president of the Governing Board of RAED, on the occasion of the publication of the Newsletter number 100, last October. A message that now wants to reiterate.
