Frederic Borràs, recognized auditor and corresponding academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), has been chosen by the international audit societies that form the Forum of Audit Firms as a member of the Transnational Committee of the International Federation of Accountants, the institution based in New York that regulates the profession internationally, issuing international auditing standards. It is the first time that a Spanish professional of the sector enters to comprise of this committee.
Borràs is also a member of the Board of Directors and president of the Audit Practice of IECnet, one of the signatures that form part of the Signatures Forum. He is also chairman of the advisory board of Morera Asesores & Auditores, a member of IECnet in Spain, and a member of the Global Council of the Association for Corporate Growth, the main community of professionals dedicated to mergers, acquisitions and corporate growth at an international level. Among his institutional positions, the academician is the honorary president of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia.
The Transnational Committee of the International Federation of Accountants has among its objectives to identify the issues that may affect the auditing profession and make the recommendations to the bodies that establish international standards and facilitate the interaction of international audit firms with international regulators and financial institutions in relation to the quality of the audit, the quality control systems and the transparency of the international auditing firms.
