The Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) will dedicate one of the sessions of its First Scientific Meeting, to be held in Fuerteventura between the 8th and 11th of June with the collaboration of IESE and the University of Las Palmas, to analyze “The new global political scenario: threats and forecasts”. The session will be attended by Walter Lichem, ambassador to the United Nations Security Council; Rosalía Arteaga, former president of Ecuador and honorary academician of the RAED; the diplomats Ernst Iten and Inocencio Arias and the former European commissioner Joaquín Almunia.
The sessions, which will be held under the generic title of “Convergencia de Caminos: Ciencia y Empresa” (Convergence of Roads: Science and Business), will be broadcast by the University of Las Palmas live and can be followed through a link on the RAED website. Participants also include the three Nobel laureates and statesman who during the sessions will enter the RAED as honorary members: Ada Yonath, Nobel prize in Chemistry; Sheldom Glashow, Nobel prize in Physics; Richard Roberts, Nobel prize in Medicine, and Luis Alberto Lacalle, former president of Uruguay.
