ROSA CAROLINA MEJÍA GÓMEZ, re-elected Mayor of the National District, emerges as a prominent figure in the leadership and public management landscape of the Dominican Republic. Since her first election in 2020, her mandate has been marked by a commitment to the well-being of the people, sustainable urban development and raising the quality of public services. In her role as General Secretary of the Modern Revolutionary Party, launched in 2016, she has stamped a renewed political strategy and vision, catalyzing an unprecedented strengthening of this political platform.

Her influence and performance transcend national borders, evidenced by her election as Regional Vice President of Social Policy and Welfare of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities. Before entering public life at the municipal level, Mejía played fundamental roles in the private sector and in government administration, standing out as Founding Partner of R. H. Mejía & Co., as a member of the Advisory Council of the President of the Republic and a key player in the negotiation of the DR-CAFTA free trade agreement.

With a robust academic background, she highlights her specializations in leadership at Bloomberg & Harvard, and in management at Barna-EADA.
