Dr. OSCAR MORALES GARCÍA

OSCAR MORALES GARCÍA Graduated in Law from the University of Cantabria in 1993, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Law in 1998 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, obtaining the highest qualification “Cum Laude” unanimously. He has been a Visiting scholar at the Albert Ludwig Universität (Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany).

For nearly five years he was a Magistrate of the Provincial Court of Barcelona, later he joined the Uría Menéndez Law Firm, implementing criminal practice in the Barcelona office. He was a partner of the firm for 13 years, until in January 2022 he established an alliance with Fermín Morales under the firm Morales Criminal Lawyers. For fifteen years he has been recognized by the prestigious Chambers & Partners Directory (Europe Edition) as one of the best criminal lawyers in the country. In 2019, he obtained the medal of professional merit, on the occasion of his incorporation into the European Higher Council of Doctors.

He is the author of several books and dozens of legal articles, largely the product of national and European R&D Projects in which he has participated or directed. In 2021 he published his first novel, “Errores invencibles”.

He has been a professor at the Universities of Cantabria, Autónoma de Barcelona, Oberta de Catalunya and Rovira Virgili de Tarragona, where he has directed doctoral, undergraduate and graduate or master courses. Since 2001 he has been a Visiting Professor at the Università degli Studio di Trento with the course “Diritto penale dell’informàtica”. He is also an adjunct professor at the Ramon Llull University (ESADE), with which he has collaborated since 1999. He has given hundreds of lectures in Spain, and also in other countries such as Italy, Colombia or Cuba..
