Dr. Héctor Guerrero Rodríguez (León, 1974)

Professor of Music and Performing Arts. Doctor of Arts from the URJC. Senior Professor of Singing at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. Senior Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Principality of Asturias. He completed his studies at Trinity College of Music in London, at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. Specialist in vocal and instrumental performance with historically informed criteria.

As a singing soloist he has been conducted by internationally famous batons and has sung in twenty-two countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. He has belonged to the National Choir of Spain. He has made recordings for RTVE, RNE, UER, Radio Gallega, Televisión de Cuba and Televisión Gabón. He has thirteen recordings to his credit. The I.E.P. He was awarded the Gold Medal for Professional Excellence in 2018.

In parallel with his artistic and research career, he has extensive experience as a teacher in the main artistic educational centers in Spain (Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, Escuela Superior de Canto and, currently, at the Arturo Professional Conservatory of Music Soria de Madrid where he is a singing teacher by competitive examination and Head of Department). He has been responsible for the subjects of Singing, Historical Singing, Vocal Repertoire and Didactics.

He has given master classes in Singing at the higher conservatories of Venice, Lecce, Fermo, Bologna, Porto and at the University of Lahti (Finland).
