The Spanish Royal National Academy of Medicine has completed the digitization project of the funds of its Library and its Archives that began three years ago. A new of witch Javier Tapia, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) and of this institution wants to make participants the members of the RAED.

The new database, accessible from the internet domain bibliotecavirtual.ranm.es, consists of about 1,400 titles and more than 100,000 associated multimedia objects that preferably cover those subjects related in some way to the history and practice of medicine. All this content is collected periodically by the Hispania aggregator and, at the European level, Europeana, where the number of books, videos, audios or works of art that can be consulted and, where appropriate, download from free form.
