Outstanding career: International reference in medical hydrology and scientific thermalism. He has devoted his career to the chemical-analytical study of thermal and mineral-medicinal waters, particularly those of the province of Ourense, promoting their recognition as a therapeutic and cultural heritage resource.

- Award from the Hon. City Council of Carballiño and the Hon. Provincial Council of Ourense, 1992 (endowed with 500,000 pesetas): “Health Spas in the Province of Ourense“.
