Dr Nuria Vallcorba Plana

Nuria Vallcorba studied medicine and surgery at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​which ended in 1983 (Average grade: Outstanding). In July 1983 he took the medical degree exam in which he obtained the grade of outstanding. Later he specialized in stomatology, he took the master’s degree in Periodontics (outstanding qualification) and the doctorate in Dentistry at the Complutense University of Madrid (cum laude qualification unanimously).

With in the scientific activity it should be point out, in addition to the doctorate, the publication of articles in journals and book chapters at a national and international level. She has been director of the journal Periodontia, official journal of the Spanish Society of Periodontics from 1998 to 2002. She is a speaker on Periodontics and a consultant for different scientific bodies, from 1989 to the present.

He has carried out his teaching activity of Periodontics since 1989, both undergraduate and graduate, at the Complutense University of Madrid, University of California-Los Angeles, University of Barcelona, ​​and currently teaches in the Master of Periodontics at the University of Valencia and at the International University of Catalonia.

She was the first woman to develop the following positions:

President of the Catalan Society of Dentistry and Dentistry of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, President of the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration, President of the SEPA Foundation of Periodontics and dental implants and patron of said foundation.

In 2009 he received the Santa Apolonia medal from the College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Catalonia.

Since 1990, he has been practicing periodontics and implants in Barcelona.
