Pedro Clarós, academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), has donated to the Academy the book “Joan Clarós i Presas (1749-1827)”, recently introduced, a documented biography of one of the heroes of the Spanish War of Independence (1808-1804) and the War of the Pyrenees (1793-1795) and his ancestor. The work is the result of research by Domingo Neuenschwander de Clarós and has been edited by the association Amics del Castell de Sant Ferran de Figueres by the close relationship of the character to the strategic fortification and Catalan city.
