Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – SUNDAY 15 MARCH 2026 – FLIGHTS AND EMBARKATION

Passengers departing from Madrid must present themselves at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, Terminal 4, at the Iberia counters at 06:30h for luggage check-in. Flight IB1327 departs at 08:40h and is scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt at 11:25h.

Passengers departing from Barcelona must present themselves at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, Terminal 1, at the Lufthansa counters at 07:30h to meet the group and check in their luggage. Flight LH1125 departs at 09:55h and is scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt at 12:05h.

Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport, passengers arriving from Madrid must wait for the Barcelona group to meet at the airport and transfer together by coach to the centre of Frankfurt. A walking tour of Frankfurt will take place, with free time for lunch. During the guided visit, the old town on the banks of the Main River known as Hibbdebach will be explored, discovering the history of the city and its main monuments. Afterwards, participants will cross and stroll along the iconic Iron Bridge.

Check-in and embarkation at the Port of Frankfurt between 16:00h and 17:00h.

Passengers arriving in Frankfurt on their own may board from 16:00h and must be on board no later than 20:00h. The embarkation point is located at Untermainkai. Should there be any change in the address, it will be notified in writing.

At 17:00h, High Tea on board will be offered, a special experience including a carefully selected assortment of homemade pastries, sandwiches, sweets and exclusive teas.

From 18:00h to 20:00h academic presentations will take place on board; the detailed academic programme is attached in the documentation provided.

 

Between 20:15h and 20:30h, a welcome cocktail with the captain will be offered, during which a brief information session about life and safety on board will be provided. Afterwards, at 21:00h, dinner will take place at the Riverside main restaurant. The day will conclude with live music in the lounge from 22:00h.

At 23:59h, the ship will depart from Frankfurt, beginning the navigation.

Day 2 – MONDAY 16 MARCH 2026 – MAINZ – BOPPARD

The ship will arrive in Mainz at 05:30h. Between 07:30h and 09:30h, buffet breakfast will be served on board in the Riverside restaurant.

From 09:30h to 11:30h, a guided walking tour of Mainz will take place in three groups with Spanish-speaking guides, lasting approximately 2 hours, starting directly from the pier. During the visit, participants will discover the main attractions of this historic Roman city, such as Mainz Cathedral, the old town, the lively market square and the figure of Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the printing press. After the visit, the group will return to the ship.

Departure from Mainz is scheduled for 12:00h, beginning the cruise along the Rhine Valley.

From 12:30h, buffet lunch on board will be served during navigation in the Riverside restaurant and VIVA’s Bistro as a more informal alternative (maximum capacity 20 people).

Between approximately 13:00h and 15:00h, passengers will enjoy scenic cruising through the Lorelei area, one of the most iconic stretches of the Rhine River.

Arrival in Boppard is scheduled for 17:00h. Afterwards, passengers will have free time to explore the city on their own, strolling through its historic centre, located in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

At 18:30h we will meet at the meeting point, to be confirmed, to return to the ship.

From 19:00h to 20:30h academic presentations will take place on board.

Passengers wishing to remain in Boppard must return to the ship no later than 20:30h.

Departure from Boppard will be at 21:00h. Dinner will be served on board in the Riverside restaurant, followed by live music in the lounge from 22:00h.
