Francisco López Muñoz, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) has obtained the Diploma in Holocaust Studies at the International School for Holocaust Studies Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. This institution, Prince of Asturias Award for Concord 2007, was established as a world center for documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust.
Also, the academician has been recognized as Champion by the Center for Medicine after the Holocaust (CMATH), based in Houston, Texas. The CMATH has the mission to defend the ethics of research and medical practice and prevent the repetition of the mistakes made by professionals and health authorities during the Third Reich. This recognition is intended for those university professors from different countries who have excelled in the study, teaching or research in medicine during the Nazi period.
