Session Description
In recent years, punitive populism has been consolidated with the consequent loss of guarantees in the penal system. In Italy more than 10,000 criminal lawyers have joined together in the Union of Criminal Chambers and have prepared a manifesto of liberal criminal law and fair process. With the intention of disseminating it in the European Union, it is now presented in Spain and is subjected to exhibition and debate by illustrious Italian and Spanish jurists.
Speakers:
- Fermín Morales Prats (Moderator), Numerary Member of the RAED. Professor of Criminal Law at the UAB. Member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Union of Criminal Lawyers.
- Nicola Mazzacuva, President of the Council of Italian Criminal Chambers. Professor at the University of Bologna
- Víctor Moreno Catena, President of the Spanish Union of Criminal Lawyers. Professor of Procedural Law at the Carlos III University.
- Gian Luca Malavasi, Head of the “Franco Bricola” Territorial School of the Criminal Chamber of Bologna. Councilor of the Bologna Bar Association,
- Francesco Iacopino, Criminal Lawyer – President of the “Alfredo Cantàfora” Criminal Chamber of Catanzaro
