GONZALO STAMPA, Spanish lawyer and FCiarb, has more than 30 years of professional experience in the practice of arbitration, during which he has acted as a lawyer and as an arbitrator in arbitrations, in different countries and jurisdictions and under the main arbitration rules.

His professional experience includes transactions related to the execution of complex engineering projects (EPC) for the construction of chemical, petrochemical and industrial plants, international trade and sale of goods and protection of foreign investments. Gonzalo graduated in Law in 1991, from the Complutense University of Madrid. Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Commercial Arbitration from the University of London in 1993 and a Doctor of Law from the Complutense University of Madrid (2010).

In 2013, he was appointed Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation and in 2002, Full Academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors. Gonzalo has been appointed by the Kingdom of Spain as Conciliator on the Panel of Arbitrators and Conciliators of the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes of the World Bank (2020-2026). He is a founding partner of Stampa Abogados, a firm specialized in arbitration practice.
