UNIVERSITY QUALIFICATIONS:
- LLB in Law (1991) from the Complutense University of Madrid.
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial Arbitration from the University of London (1993).
- PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid (2010).
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY:
- Spanish lawyer and FCiarb with over 30 years of experience in arbitration practice, having served both as counsel and as arbitrator in proceedings across various countries and jurisdictions, and under the main arbitration rules.
- His professional expertise covers transactions related to the execution of complex engineering projects (EPC) for the construction of chemical, petrochemical and industrial plants, international trade, sale of goods, and protection of foreign investments.
- Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation (2013) and Numerary Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors (2002).
- Appointed by the Kingdom of Spain as a Conciliator on the Panel of Arbitrators and Conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes at the World Bank (2020–2026).
- Founding partner of Stampa Abogados, a law firm specialised in arbitration.
