Raimund Herder
Raimund Herder Dorneich was born in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, on May 13, 1963, into a family of publishers. He grew up in that city, but for a few years he also lived in Switzerland and Great Britain.
After doing military service and having some work experiences, he enrolled in the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where he began studying Philosophy and History. He ends his studies with a thesis on the historical principle and the organic vision of the world in the work of the Austrian philosopher Otto Willmann.
In 1992, at the same university, he received his PhD in Philosophy with a thesis entitled Historisches Denken und Phänomenlologie (Historical thought and phenomenology).
After having worked in a bank in Frankfurt and later in a publishing house in Cologne, since 1999 he has been the sole editor and administrator of Editorial Herder in Barcelona.
Raimund Herder is married with three children.
