Dr. RAIMUND HERDER

UNIVERSITY DEGREES

  • Raimund Herder Dorneich was born in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, on May 13, 1963, into a family of publishers. He grew up in that city, also spending some years in Switzerland and Great Britain.
  • After completing military service and gaining early work experience, he enrolled at the Julius Maximilians Universität Würzburg, where he began studies in Philosophy and History.
  • He completed his studies with a dissertation on the historical principle and the organic worldview in the work of Austrian philosopher Otto Willmann.
  • He is married and has three children.

TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

  • In 1992, he earned his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Würzburg with a dissertation entitled “Historisches Denken und Phänomenologie” (Historical Thought and Phenomenology).
  • After working in a bank in Frankfurt and later in a publishing house in Cologne, since 1999 he has been the editor and sole administrator of Herder Editorial in Barcelona.
