López Muñoz will enter at the Real Academia de Historia y Arte de San Quirce

Francisco López Muñoz, full academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED) has been chosen as corresponding academician of the Spanish Real Academia de Historia y Arte de San Quirce. The new academician will take possession of the appointment next October. López Muñoz is professor of Pharmacology at the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid and director of its International Doctorate School. He is doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University in Madrid and a doctor in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Alcalá.

Based in the city of Segovia, this Royal Academy was founded in 1919 under the name Segovian Popular University, among others, by the poet Antonio Machado, and its founding goal was to promote the dissemination of the culture of the Segovian people. In 1927 he settled in his current headquarters of the church of San Quirce, a building of Romanesque style of the XII century. In 1966 he obtained his admission as an academy associated with the Institute of Spain and in 1997 received the title of Royal.
