Dr. HÉCTOR GUERRERO RODRÍGUEZ
UNIVERSITY DEGREES
- Completed his studies at the Trinity College of Music in London, the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, specialising in vocal and instrumental performance with historically informed criteria.
- PhD in Arts from the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC).
TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
- Professor of Music and Performing Arts.
- Higher Professor of Singing from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid.
- Higher Professor of Piano and Chamber Music from the Conservatory of the Principality of Asturias.
- As a vocal soloist, he has been conducted by internationally renowned maestros and has performed in twenty-two countries across Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
- He has been a member of the National Choir of Spain.
- He has recorded for RTVE, RNE, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Radio Galega, the Cuban Television and Gabon Television.
- He has thirteen commercial recordings.
- Alongside his artistic and research career, he has developed extensive teaching experience at leading artistic education centres in Spain: the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, the Higher School of Singing, and currently at the Arturo Soria Professional Conservatory of Music of Madrid, where he serves as a Tenured Singing Professor and Head of Department.
- He has taught the subjects of Singing, Historical Singing, Vocal Repertoire and Didactics.
- He has given masterclasses in Singing at the conservatories of Venice, Lecce, Fermo, Bologna, Oporto and the University of Lahti (Finland).
AWARDS AND DISTINCTIONS
- The Institute for Professional Excellence (IEP) awarded him the Gold Medal for Professional Excellence in 2018.
