Content and objectives of the session
Eugène Delacroix, the great Romantic painter of the first third of the 19th century, was an authentic loose verse avant le lettre that connects with the technique that the later Impressionists would develop: rapid painting alla prima with effective rapid gestures.
Martín Garcia Cros, renowned portrait painter, offers us an amazing journey to the past in which we will find ourselves in the Académie royale de peinture in Paris, as well as in front of the demanding Rome Prize. In this sensitive itinerary we will be able to evaluate different techniques while García Cros paints a portrait in the style of Delacroix.
