José María Baldasano, Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and elected academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors-Barcelona 1914 (RAED), will participate in the First European Congress on Construction, Habitability, Economics and Leadership, ePower & Building, The Summit, held in Madrid on November 22 and 23, with the presentation “El Análisis del ciclo de vida como herramienta de la economía circular en la edificación” (The analysis of the life cycle as a tool of the circular economy in the building).
In his speech, Baldasano analyses what is meant by a competitive company for building in the new decade, how the industry is tackling knowledge of its products, how the data generated are used throughout the construction process, or the nature of the circular economy of the materials and elements of the building, among other topics of reflection.
The summit aims to offer the construction industry different scenarios and reflections on the competitive and differentiating assets that the industry and the business sector have to take into account in order to work over the next 15 years. The event integrates reference salons for the sectors of construction, rehabilitation and energy efficiency (Veteco, Construtec, Urbótica and Matelec). This new project aims to promote innovation and contribute to the dynamisation of the market, concentrating the offer of 1,200 companies and the presence of 60,000 professional visitors from the engineering, industry, installation, automation, construction, architecture, infrastructure, urban planning and tertiary sectors.
