  • Her research is focused on the field of Virology.
  • She has taught Virology, Viral Vaccines and Foodborne Virus Control in twenty courses across six Bachelor’s degrees and four Master’s degrees, and has supervised thirteen PhD theses.
  • She has served as a doctoral thesis supervisor at the Department of Virology of the University of Pretoria and at the Pasteur Institute in Paris.
  • Since 2002 she has been a continuous principal investigator of projects under the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation, as well as several contracts with companies.
  • She has published over 125 articles in indexed international journals.
  • She has presented her research results in more than 100 international conferences.
  • She has delivered international lectures at the National Research Center in Cairo, at the University of Pretoria, at the Royal Society of London and at the Tohoku University in Sendai.
