ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s and PhD in Information Sciences, both awarded with the Extraordinary Prize.
- Completed a Postgraduate Program in “Production in Motion Pictures & Television” at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA).
- During his stay in Los Angeles, he worked as an intern at Harry Ziesmer’s production company, assistant director to Francis Ford Coppola.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
- Rector of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona).
- Full Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising (UIC). Former Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (2015–2021) and Coordinator of the PhD Program in Communication and Humanities (2017–2021).
- He has supervised 26 doctoral theses and is currently directing 6 more.
- Visiting Researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel, 2009), the University of La Sabana (Bogotá, Colombia, 2010) and the Catholic University of Milan (Italy, 2011).
- He has taught master’s and doctoral courses at a dozen Spanish and European universities.
- Founder and President of the UNESCO Association for the Promotion of Ethics in the Media.
