Dr. Alfonso Jiménez Fernández
A highly recognised professional as a business consultant, specialist in Labour Market, Organisation, People and Talent, he has been a pioneer in introducing various practices into our business community from the firms: Arthur Andersen, Andersen Consulting, Watson Wyatt – where he served as Board Member and CEO for Spain – and PeopleMatters, a firm he founded in 2003, serving as Sole Administrator until February 2020.
In addition to participating in various executive education programmes, he holds a PhD in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1985), completed the PADE programme at IESE (2003), and holds a diploma in corporate governance from IC-A (2019).
He has shown a strong academic vocation, having served as programme director and lecturer at various universities and business schools (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, IE Business School, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Euroforum, APD, SHRM, IGE, Sagardoy Business School…).
He is the founder of Recruiting Erasmus, a digital platform facilitating access to distinctive young talent.
He has authored several books in his areas of expertise, is a regular contributor to economic and specialised media, a keynote speaker at congresses and a presenter at various professional forums, and is highly active on social media. Together with Prof. Rafael Puyol, he is co-author of the Senior Talent Maps of Fundación Mapfre.
He has a strong professional network, especially among executives and board members within our business community, and is an active member of various professional associations (APD, IC-A, IESE Alumni, AEDIPE…). He currently serves as Member of the Board of Directors of AED and member of its Remuneration Committee, and chairs the Advisory Board of AEDRH (Spanish Association of Human Resources Directors).
He is also a member of the Advisory Board of EJE&CON (Spanish Association of Executives and Board Members).
He is currently Partner at Exec Avenue, responsible for the Board Services practice in Spain, Senior Advisor at Atrevia, Founder and CEO of Recruiting Erasmus, and member of the Spanish Advisory Board of the technology company Workday and of the Advisory Board of Fundación AYO. He is also a Trustee of Fundación Más Familia.
