Dr. Jaume Antich Soler (Barcelona, 1973)

Lawyer, Professor and Consultant. PhD in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, awarded the distinction of Outstanding Cum Laude, unanimously, with a pioneering thesis on Criminal Compliance and the Criminal Liability of Legal Persons. He is a Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where he also teaches in the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession, and has supervised numerous bachelor’s and master’s theses. He is also a Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law at the Institute of Public Security of Catalonia, has served as Deputy Director of the Master’s in International Criminal Justice of the International Criminal Bar with the Rovira Virgili University, and is also a Professor in the Compliance Master’s Program of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).

A practising lawyer since 2003, he is the director of his own law firm in Barcelona, specialising in Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, and Corporate Compliance. He has taken part in hundreds of proceedings throughout Spain and acts as a consultant in corporate criminal liability, advising companies and executives on crime prevention and management systems.

He is a Numerary Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors, Honorary Member of the European Council of Doctors and Doctors Honoris Causa, Acting Secretary General, and member of the Council of the International Criminal Bar, a member of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP), and a member of the Spanish Compliance Association (ASCOM), among others. His career combines teaching, research, and professional practice.

Furthermore, he has an extensive institutional background, having held various positions, such as Member of the Committee on Relations with the Administration and Justice, Vice President and Acting President of the Young Lawyers Group, Secretary of the Compliance Section, Secretary of the Committee on International Criminal Justice and Human Rights (CJPI-DDHH), and currently Member of the Mediation Committee and advisor to the CJPI-DDHH of the Barcelona Bar Association.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications, has participated as a speaker in more than fifty national and international conferences, and regularly collaborates as an expert in the media.

His main research areas revolve around International Criminal Justice, the Criminal Liability of Legal Persons, and Compliance.
