TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY:

• She worked at the Barcelona Provincial Council as a technical advisor for the Local Economic Management Assistance Service. The institution provides support to municipalities in the province of Barcelona, each with different populations and unique financial needs. In this context, the technical training of the Council’s staff is essential, and Dr. Pifarré’s work has been widely recognized for its efficiency and effectiveness in equipping staff with the best assistance resources.
• She has been one of the leading trainers of trainers in the field of local administrations. Her expertise and pedagogical skills have earned her the trust of municipal secretaries, auditors, and staff working in the financial departments of town councils, providing advice on economic and financial matters. These advisory activities have been complemented by consultancy work, leading teams that gained a strong reputation for producing financial diagnostics and municipal restructuring plans aimed at improving financial planning and achieving budgetary balance.
• She has shown a remarkable dedication to society, devoting more than 20 years to teaching at the School of Business Studies and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Barcelona. Many accounting professionals have benefited from her instruction in introductory accounting courses, some of the most challenging for lecturers and at the same time the most decisive for students.
